If Nigeria Must Develop, the Youths Must Wake Up!

Nigeria's bad economy is due to lack of an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. But, like seriously, is that the main hindrance to the economic development of Nigeria? I beg to disagree based on the following reasons:

For Any Country to Thrive, the Youths Must Actively Be Involved
When you say this, fingers are quickly pointed at the government, especially the Federal Government. Most guys are lying fallow today, if you ask them as to why, they'll tell you how much they are ready to work should they be provided with a job today. Now, if you go further to ask as to who is to provide jobs, they won't think before they tell you that it is the Government. If you try to convince them on setting up a small business for themselves, they are quick at referring to the unavailability of capital, lack of basic infrastructure, inconsistent government policies and high interest rates on the grossly inadequate supply of loans for business. I don't know, but, while they see problems, I see business opportunities!
I used to tell my friends that capital is never a problem but a good business package. If you have a beautiful business package, getting capital will never be a problem. I'm talking from experience. The Problem with those that complain of capital is that they wish to start their business from a very high point. They are not ready to start with the basics, you know, start small and gradually grow the business to success. They want to start big and earn big right from the inception of the business. It doesn't work like that; this they learn the hard way!
Most of those that managed to get the exorbitant capital enter into the business with very little knowledge of the pits and falls of the business, so they loose out mainly due to lack of adequate knowledge and guidance. After the loss, they would blame their failure on the sorry state of the economy. This is why they complain of lack of an enabling environment.

Nigeria is Full of Opportunities Because It's Not Developed
Businesses are created to solve problems. Therefore, Nigeria with its so many problems offer so many business opportunities. So, it's not a matter of lack of business opportunities, we have so many. It's not lack of capital because I know, from experience that people are willing to entrust others with their money so long you can assure them of the safety of their investment in you. Thus, it's actually a matter of your technical know-how on your chosen line of business.
Pick on a problem, find a solution to it and perfect your skills in solving that problem. Then, you may seek for capital. 

Starting Up With A Bank Loan is Suicidal
You enter into a thrift or a cooperative where you may save a portion of your daily, weekly or monthly income from work long enough to start you off with the basic minimum. Then, you can grow gradually from their until you have stabilized. Then, you may seek for more capital from family and friends who would gladly invest as they can see how much progress you have made all by yourself. In fact, they would count themselves very lucky for the opportunity. This is my own recommended line of funding that I recommend for everyone.
Bank loans, as it stands today in Nigeria, is double digit in nature. The Federal government happens to be the one with special packaged single digit interest based loans. Even at that, I'll still not recommend them for business...if not for any other reason, for the religious reason and of course, for the consequences of not meeting up with payment.

As a Nigerian, You Must Learn To Think Out Of The Box
Most would tell you how hopeless the Nigerian situation is because they're thinking within the box. They're hoping to solve Nigeria's problems the Orthodox way. That's where they get it all wrong. The Nigerian problem is beyond repairs when you think the orthodox way, but when you are able to think outside the box, Nigeria's problems are easily solved.
Take for instance, power is one of the greatest hindrances to national development and the provision of employment. The Orthodox way to solve this problem is to wait on the government to invest in the power sector. But when you think the unorthodox way, you'll notice that we can generate enough electricity for both industrial and domestic uses as individuals. This is how all the Masts of Telecommunication companies work in Nigeria. Dangote, generates more power than he needs in some parts of Nigeria where he has companies and as a matter of fact supplies his immediate communities with the excess power generated. This is not to look down on the Solar Power that's being harnessed in certain parts of the North to power whole communities 24/7.

You Can't See Business Opportunities If You Can't See Beyond The Problems
Among the Entrepreneurs, the Poor see problems, while the Rich see opportunities to make a lot of money from solving the problems. Virtually all Nigerians have been raised consciously or unconsciously to scorn at Nigeria our father land. We've also been raised to heap all the blames on the government. In some quarters, it's so bad that some Nigerians are beginning to see their being born Nigerians a curse!
The Simple truth about this unfortunate line of thought is that, the majority with this kind of poisonous and contagious thought would no longer bother to try solve the multiple problems of Nigeria. The only thing they'll be thinking about is how to escape from Nigeria. No wonder, we see hundreds of Nigerians being so desperate to leave Nigeria that they'll raise huge chunks of money like N500 000 (i.e. Half a Million Naira which is about $150 000 to leave Nigerian through the hottest desert of the World, the Sahara desert!) just to leave Nigeria. Whereas, you can reach Los Angeles in the US with just N252 000 via the airplane!
The Bottomline, here is that, for as long as you think Nigeria is a shit hole you need to escape from, you can't benefit from the numerous opportunities she has to offer. Dangote is the Richest in Africa and he made the bulk of his money from Nigeria! That same Nigeria you see as a shithole!!!  

The Greatest Problem of Nigeria Today is Food Security!
A Yoruba adage has it that "Bi ebi ba Kuro ninu ise, ise buse". It literally means that the greatest problem with poverty is hunger.
This means that all the protests and clamoring for pay rise by the Nigerian Labour Congress, the NLC is a futile exercise. The real problem to the seasonal suffering of civil servants and Nigerians in general, is not the small take home but that of scarcity of food. If Nigeria becomes self sufficient in food production today, workers' savings would increase as the Naira would appreciate thereby increasing the purchasing power of the workers!

How to Make Nigeria Great Again

Just a few moments ago, I saw one of the posts of a friend on facebook that celebrated the lifetime of a Nigerian gem that died in the Ethiopia crash. His name was Pius Adesanmi.
 My friend posted one of the deceased Professor's conversation with Professor Pat Utomi where they were discussing how great Nigeria was and how miserable we are today. While Professor Utomi complained about how well we were grounded economically in the past, Professor Pius pointed out how our Parliament is the most expensive in the world. After a moment of pondering on the matter the gentlemen were discussing, I decided to blog about the solution which is 'Making Nigeria great again.'

Where Did We Get It All Wrong?
In the submission of Prof Utomi, one of our greatest undoing is the creation of unproductive states that have become a huge burden on our economy. Well, in my opinion, it's not the creation of the many states per se that is the problem. The Problem, in my opinion is the sheer lack of responsibility of Nigerians to the Nigerian state.
I don't have to be a Professor to know the damaging effect of this very bad attitude of we Nigerians. We don't care how Nigeria makes money, all we care about is how much we benefit from the 'National Cake' as most of us like to put it. With this attitude of ours, Nigeria will not grow! In fact, it is a miracle that Nigeria is still existing today when you considering how many TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS that have been stolen from her both by her citizens and foreigners...as individuals and as countries! Chai! Nigeria don suffer!!!

Nigeria Lack Patriots!
Ask every Dick and Harry in town what they would do should they be granted $1 Million today? I can confidently assure you that most of them would be thinking of getting out of the country and settling abroad in an exotic apartment. Everyone wants to get out the 'Hell' Nigeria and would do all in their capacity to ensure that...even if it has to be through very dangerous means as traveling across the hottest desert in the world (The Sahara Desert)!
Nigerians of today, do not appreciate Nigeria, most think it is a curse to be a Nigerian...some would even go as far blaspheming against God. They question why God made them Nigerians and not a European or better still an American! Now, tell me, how can such a country grow, how can it ever develop???

Nigerians Must Appreciate Nigeria
There's no country in the world that became great from a hate attitude from her citizenry...NONE! If Nigeria must be great, Nigerians must learn to love and appreciate Nigeria. Americans would say 'America First'. Nigerians must be ready to say 'Nigeria First' if Nigeria must develop.
Nigeria was great then because Nigeria had passionate and patriotic leaders in power. This was made possible simply because, most Nigerians then were patriots and optimistic about their country and they would never trade the loyalty to their country for anything in life. They were ready to sacrifice personal interest for that of the country. But, today, can we say that about us the present generation whose main objective is how to get out of the 'shit hole' we find ourselves today? I don't think so!

We Must Be Ready To Put Nigeria First!
You see, sometimes, I get to hear people talk of how Nigeria would never rise again. Some even say it is already a failed state and that we should come together to divide the booties and go our separate ways. This usually come to me as a very expensive joke that shouldn't be repeated as often as it is. I wonder if we have ever stopped and reflect on how selfish we are?
Most well to do Nigerians as a result of this have adopted the dual citizenship allowance granted them by the constitution (I still wonder why this rather funny law is enshrined in our constitution in the first place?). The funny part is that these well to do 'half loyal Nigerians' are the one at the helms of affairs in Nigeria. Now, tell me, how can a country that's ruled by people with divided loyalty is going to develop?
As citizens, we must learn to put Nigeria first,you can't do that with dual citizenship. Putting Nigeria first is possible only with a singular citizenship. If you haven't adopted the dual citizenship,please,don't do, it won't help us as a country, it would only worsen our case! 

Nigeria Can Only Be Great If We Are Willing
Look, let's stop the blame game, it's never gonna work, it never did! The only thing that can work for Nigeria is that Nigerians should step up their game for Nigeria. This applies mostly to the youths out there who are always complaining about the bad shape of the economy.
The youths must stop complaining about lack of employment, lack of capital for business or lack of an enabling environment. We must be ready to create the employment, the enabling environment and generate the capital for business.

If You Do Not Vote Today,You Are Very Wrong!

If you have your PVC in tact and still refuse to go out to vote, today at the guber and state houses of assembly, you are wrong, VERY wrong. Here are a few reasons why?

It is a Civic Duty
When I say a duty, I mean an obligation you MUST do as a citizen of Nigeria.Your failure to vote is a big show of irresponsibility which is quite unfortunate. We have been complaining of bad government policies and nonchalant attitude of people in government to the welfare of the people. Today, your are presented a golden opportunity....a one in 4 years opportunity to kick out the bad guys and bring in a better replacement, you throw away the opportunity, isn't that foolish???
Should the same tyrant team come back to power, know that you are the one that have put them back to power with your failure to go out there to vote them out.

The Governor Has More Influence Over You Than The President
It's a good thing that we came out enmass during the presidential elections. But the blunt truth is that the guber elections is more important than the Presidential because, the state government is closer to you than the Federal Government. If the federal intends to dish out the dividends of democracy, the governor has the power to block it from reaching you in so many ways.
A typical example is in the case of the bail out that the Buhari regime has been dishing out to the state government so that they may be able to pay off the state civil servant salaries. What happened, was the money delivered? The answer is a big fat NO!
In some states such as Kogi and Kwara, the money was diverted to other uses outside the intended purpose of offsetting the debts accrued from salaries owed. Despite the outrage and outcry, nothing was  paid, instead, people got punished for crying foul. It's going close to 3 years of non payment of salaries in Kogi, for instance, yet, workers are expected to work even harder if they must keep their jobs. That's after some actually lost their jobs and others blocked from the payroll of the government illegally. The governors are covered by immunity, they can't be tried while in power...they are above the law!
So, I think you can see how much of a mistake it is to stay back home during today's elections. Lagos is a shiny example of what can happen when you have a highly functional state government in power. Lagos no longer wait for the federal allocation to execute projects or pay salaries...Lagos is more like a country of it's own as it stands today. In fact, it has been reported that Lagos state is currently richer than 5 African countries put together!

If Your State's Economy Flourishes,You Will Forget The FG
I'll have to refer to Lagos again. During Obasanjo's regime, Lagos state was denied her allocation for more than 2 years, yet, it didn't crash, how manage???
The answer is not far fetched. The then governor, Ahmed Tinubu dared to be different...he established an Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) mechanism. This was the turning point for Lagos and ever since, she (Lagos) didn't look back again. Although, we have copy cat effects here and there, none is as effective as that of Lagos. Lagosians are in the world of their own now, they have created an independent economy from that of the FG.Stuffs that come from the Fg today are like bonuses to the Lagos state government. Like I said, Lagos is like a country in a country!
Your state too can be like that if you are responsible enough to cast your vote for a patriotic citizen and team of honorable to man the positions in the state house assembly.But, unfortunately, you can't do that now, you just missed! You'll have to wait till 2023 to do that!

You Have Failed To Help Keep Your Political Leaders On Their Toes
This is what you can't take away from Oyo state who by records have not voted in a governor for a second term except in the case of the present Governor Ajumobi. What does this do? It keeps the politicians on their toes...even if they would want to act funny, the fear of loosing elections would grip and put them in check. Most states in Nigeria are under performing simply because their citizens care less about the activities of government. Very few question their authorities which according to the constitution you can strip them of with a simple majority through your state house of assembly members.
Let assume that you had left them to do as they wish for the whole term, your refusal to vote today have actually boosted their confidence to do more in terms of tyranny, coz, you are neither asking questions nor making the move to punish them via elections. The unfortunate thing is that you stayed back at home when you had the chance to kick them out and would probably be complaining for the next 4 years if things get worse.
So, my guy, you really messed up for not showing up today. Make una no do that again fa! It's VERY Wrong! If you'll excuse me, I'll like to go to my booth to witness the counting of the votes cast today! Catch ya later!

Onnoghen: It's a Matter of Morals...a Matter of Integrity!

The 68 years old Chief Justice, Walter Onnoghen is currently the talk of the town.It's Onnoghen this, Onnoghen that.

So, what's the story?
Well, from what I could gather, The Chief justice was found wanting in his declaration of assets. When he was confronted with the matter, the man said he forgot! Can you imagine that? The Chief Justice of Nigeria forgot to declare 15 houses and millions of Dollars in a couple of bank accounts. I find this quite amusing...very, very amusing! 
Ordinarily, one expects the man to toll the path of honour and tender his resignation letter. What did we get instead? A fight!
Justice Onnoghen got suspended from office since he refused to resign. Instead of backing down and accepting the suspension in good faith, he is all over running from one court to the hoping to keep his position as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). He's not alone on this matter,the PDP, the US, UK and even the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) are backing the embattled CJN who has ever since been replaced by Justice Tanko.Despite the suspension, the man fights on!

What is He fighting for?
Obviously, he's fighting to retain his seat as the CJN. Does that sound right? I don't think so! The CJN is the head of the Supreme court, the top most court in the land.When the Supreme court passes a judgement, it is final, there's no more appeal.

Why It is not Right for Him to Continue as the CJN
Like I've pointed out earlier, the Supreme court that he heads is the court whose judgement is beyond appeal...as in it is final! If that's anything to go by, then, it's not right for a compromised Judge to head it. Especially a Judge that would forget to declare FIFTEEN HOUSES and MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! If he can forget so much asset, then,he can forget about anything...he can even forget who is guilty and who is innocent. Gaskia, I don't think a guy that forgets that he owns 15 houses and millions of dollars is mentally fit to work even as a clerk in a Magistrate let alone the Supreme Court.
Another major reason why he has to leave is that what he did is criminal in nature as in, he had misled us to believe he had much less asset than he actually has. Such a man cannot be left to head the highest level of our institution of justice. If he could conceal so much wealth, there's a very high probability that he would pass unfair judgements in the name of mistake. The Supreme court does not have room for mistakes as judgements because judgements from the Supreme court are FINAL!
Looking the matter critically,we would realize that no civil servant get paid that much.The millions of dollars are, therefore, of questionable sources. Who would want to gift a Judge such huge amount of money certainly not me, as a matter of fact, no one would dole out millions of dollars to anyone without a reason. If the gifts come AFTER judgements, no wahala, but, if they come BEFORE judgements, then, there's a problem...a very BIG problem. For a Judge to have such millions undeclared in asset means that the Judge is compromised. Such Judges are not to be condoned in ordinary courts let alone the Apex court. This is why it is safest that he had resigned after confessing that he forgot about it!

Former Minister, Adeosun was Right to Resign!
When people lack morals and integrity,they see nothing wrong in fight dirty! I mean, check it out yourself!You got suspended for misconduct, courtesy demands that you back down and walk away.You should only fight back if you know that you are innocent. But, what if you are  selfish,shameless and lack morals like the Judge? Oh my God!
This man, had shown no remorse or regret to have gathered enough strength to fight on despite being guilty!He said he forgot...this is means he's guilty of the allegation!
Someone was saying that people are banned from asking him to tell his own part of the story,is that possible,even if it his,doesn't his shameless pursuit of the matter AFTER HE HAD PUBLICLY ACCEPTED THE BLAME spoken volumes on his behalf???
I mean, why would I trust a man that lied about what he had and stood by the lies until  he was caught red handed,why would I want to believe anything he says, what gives me the assurance that it won't be a lie? This is why Adeosun resigned, the discovery of the fake NYSC result was enough evidence to make her resign as she obviously would not be trusted again. She understands this, that's why she had to throw in the Towel...just to clear everybody's doubt and save the country an international embarrassment that Onnoghen is causing Nigeria today! What a shame!!!

Why Are The PDP so Worked Up Over This Matter?
The People's Democratic Party (PDP) attitude and the manner with which they are taking issue seem so surprising and suspicious too!I'm still trying to understand why they are so concerned over the matter.In fact, it has caused people talking of the possibility that he is actually part of the grand plan of the PDP to take power this year! According to the source, the PDP would drag the APC to court and fight until it reaches the Supreme court where the final judgement would be passed AND ONNOGHEN WOULD BE THE ONE TO PASS THE JUDGEMENT! This is why Onnoghen has to end all these nonsense by tendering his resignation letter!

The President SUSPENDED not SACK him!
Ever since the beginning of the matter, people have been challenging the power of the President to remove him. Well, the removal is temporary...judging from the fact that he was suspended not sacked. Abi na me no understand English?
The man is a suspect, he cannot be left at the helms of affairs especially when he occupies the office of the Chief Justice of Nigeria. If he stays in office while investigations are still on regarding his case, he can possibly move to manipulate, with ease, the outcome of the judgement.You can't be the Judge of your own case! Onnoghen wants to be the judge of his own case o,. you go gree???
No, we no go gree, Buhari no go gree. This is why, I believe, he was suspended and why we shouldn't have a problem with that decision. With the recent appeal court judgement, he'll have no choice but to go face the CCT! Thank God for that, God Bless Nigeria!!!

My Problem with the Youths in Politics

There's nothing wrong with a youth becoming the President of Nigeria,afterall, the current president of France is a youth. In the same vain, there's absolutely nothing wrong with an old man becoming a President. In Malaysia, a youth was voted out to give room for a man in his nineties (92, to be specific) to become the President!

Age is NOT a Barrier In Governance!
We have one of the youngest governors in Kogi's State House. Please, go ask an average Kogite how gladly he would like to vote him back to power next electioneering year in the state to see things for yourself!
My point is that age is no barrier to good performance,neither is it a guarantee of good governance. So, for someone to come out to campaign and the main point he has against his opponent is advancement in age or the weakness that comes with it is quite disappointing and disrespectful to our old folks!
If you've got better offers, you should spend time to communicate them to the people and leave the person of your opponent(s) out of it. Nigeria's got too many problems for room to be made for the attack of personalities during campaigns. Like I said earlier, there's nothing wrong with a youth taking over power and I am in fact in support of it. What I would not have is a RUDE youth taking over the Aso Rock!

The Current Set of Youths Aren't Ready
I'll like to begin with the comments and reactions of the Youthful Presidential Aspirants during the Presidential debate. They showed a very high level of disrespect for those presidential aspirants that were absent. They attacked their persons freely without hindrance. None of them deemed it fit to show constraint and make polite excuses on their behalf (for their absence).
I was expecting comments like 'Well, it's quite unfortunate that they couldn't make it, for reasons best known to them,they couldn't make it, especially, Mr President that I wish to tackle on some of his policies that I see as anti people. It's painful, though, but, nonetheless, the debate must go on and I know, he would get to see the playback of the debate and hopefully respond to whatever issue that's raised.'
That's how people of courtesy do. They don't attack or tongue lash the opponent behind their backs just to score cheap political goals. It was so disrespectful and honestly, in my opinion, disqualifies the aspirants from becoming President. I mean, if they could be that rude as an aspirant, only God knows how far they'll go when they become President.

Sowore Goofed!
The most promising of them all,to me, is Sowore, the owner of Sahara Reporters. But, unfortunately, he turned out to be the most rude of the youth aspirants. He's so direct and throws courtesy to the winds!
The other time, on TVC, he was interviewed along with Moghalu.While Moghalu was trying to be gentlemanly in his approach, trying to prevent direct confrontations, Sowore continued to provoke it (direct confrontations) with every opportunity he had. Well, that's just about the point.
Sowore goofed BIG TIME when he was asked concerning the minimum wage. One of the Anchors asked him how much he would pay as minimum wage? My brother just spit it out without thinking about it. He said that he would pay the sum of a hundred thousand Naira as minimum wage. While I was still trying to handle the shock,he let out the bombshell!
Sowore claimed that the decision was actually a product of careful research on his part. He was so confident and so proud of his submissions that he went ahead to attack Moghalu who said that he would firstly study the situation on ground after his ascension to power before he can decide on that. He accused him of not being sensitive enough to the plight of the Nigerian workers!
Sowore goofed coz, he failed to realize that the only consequence of salary increase is inflation and the devaluation of the Naira. What he failed to realize is that the price of everything shoots up in matter of weeks that the new wage regime begins. Would discuss that in subsequent posts on this blog,please stay tuned.
According to Sowore, Nigeria can pay, but, the question is that how much would you pay Directors and Managers when you pay Gardeners and Gatekeepers N100 000??? When I said that these guys were not ready on facebook, some guys spared no time in attacking me over the matter. But, can we say Sowore who's promising a N100 000 minimum wage ready to take charge of Nigeria???
Hell No!

What I Expected From The Youths
I am in full support of the 'Not Too Young To Rule' mantra. But, we shouldn't be in a rush to take power. I was expecting the youths to test out the waters, learn on the job by starting small and from the grass root. I expected the youths to begin their political career from places like the Councillorship, LG Chairmanship and at most, the Governorship....certainly not the Presidential part. I would have expected the youths to occupy the State Houses of Assembly and the National House of Assembly.
I expected the youths in politics to first of all build their political careers so that they wouldn't be hoping to win Presidential  elections from winning Presidential Debates. The current crop of aspirants had NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICAL CV to proof their worth. They've got nothing other than their sharp mouths, the more reason they were disappointed that Atiku and Buhari wouldn't do debate.
Fellow Nigerians, I've got a lot to share with you concerning the Elections, yet, I don't want to overwhelm you with too much info. I'll stop for now so that you may digest what I've shared so far. I'll see you on Wednesday!

2019 a Great Year for Nigerians!

Hmmm...
Fellow Nigerians, it's 2019 and we know that the first thing that pops into our mind is the General elections. I lie?

So, What's the Big Deal About the General Elections???
Well, in my opinion, the Big deal is YOU! Yes, you, you are the reason why the campaign is put in place, you are the reason why there are political rallies, you are the reason why they keep on attacking each other all over the media. You are the one that is causing them sleepless nights, in case you don't know.
For the past three and half years, they have been in Abuja, state capitals or simply busy pursuing their selfish interest thereby abandoning you to yourself and forgetting all the promises they made to you. Now that their calendar has just informed them of an inevitable end to the momentary 'jollyment' it's high time they came back to you and ask you for the permission to continue! The question is, are you going to grant that permission???
That's why you are the BIG DEAL!

Your Votes Truly Count!
Forget all the talk about 'they don't really need your vote to get to power'. It's a very BIG WHITE LIE, YOU VOTES DO COUNT!
What you don't know is that you are the one that sell your votes to them either directly or indirectly. We all know how the trade in votes are done directly, it's the indirect form which is the more devastating of the two that you might ignorant of.
Most people don't understand that the moment they receive gifts in any form during electioneering period, they have sold their votes. I marvel at our ignorance when I hear people who are regarded as learned and should be on the vanguard of the war against money politics take gifts from the political heavy weights and actually promote the unfortunate trend. They'll tell you that it's their money that is being shared, hence, they would take the money but vote their choice candidate in the end.
What you don't know is that the corrupt guy knows this too, but he's not bothered. He's not bothered because, what he had actually purchased from you is your conscience WITH YOUR OWN MONEY (as you like to put it,abeg na who mumu pass now??? lolz!)!
The moment you take the gift from them, you have lost the moral grounds to contest, protest or challenge the results of the elections. Let me break it down for you.
Party A and B are contesting for a political post in your area and party A is the ruling party. Due to this advantage, party A uses public funds to campaign and give gifts to attendees of their campaigns and on the day of elections, they were there dishing out N500 and N1 000 notes to the ignorant majority. They also approach the security agents at the polling booth and offered them like N10 000  or more each based on negotiations. There are brown envelopes in place for the INEC officers too. Abegi,  who do you think would win and if they do, who would challenge the results? The answer is simple and direct, party A would win and the results would be challenged by only party B which is now clearly the minute minority NOBODY else!!!
Nobody would challenge the results because all the stake holders in the election has been bought successfully except party B that's with a much better candidate for the position...this is how we sell our future the corrupt and incompetent. Guess what?
If they were able to buy all other stakeholders except you the electorates, they would still not have their way and would loose big time! Buhari's emergence in 2015 is a not too distant instance...even the emergence of Jonathan in 2011 ( the era of FRESH AIR...I hope you remember?).

Rigging is Successful only When You the Electorates are Part of It
I can still remember an incident in a state where there's a godfather who controls all the LGA's in the said state except one...just one! During an election period, the godfather's party was announced as the winner of all parts of the state. When it came to announcing the results of this particular LGA of the stand alone party, he applied wisdom by telling his disciples that it's better to release the true results in the LGA because, failure to do so would yield nothing but a dangerous rebellion and conflict. Such is the power of the electorates....as in YOU!
So, please, note that if there's rigging in your local polling booth, na you cause am o! Na you sell your votes to corrupt politicians through their agents in your area.The moment you collect money from ANYONE as regards to elections, know that you have sold your conscience and you cannot challenge the election outcome even if you have rock solid evidence of the rigging process. It's that bad!!!

Don't Be Part of the Rot but Part of the Solution
It's quite obvious that the rot in our national lives as Nigerians is so deep that Nigeria is approximately a failed state! But as a patriot, it's my duty to always look onto the bright side...as a patriot, I wouldn't say Nigeria is a failed state but a country that's gradually waking from a very serious coma. It's on this note that I would implore you to help make a change and not join the bandwagon of the overwhelming rot in the system. You can make a difference by sharing this post with your friends on your social media accounts. You can also champion the change cause in your locality by speaking out against money politics in your area.
Know that if you don't do it, no one would. You may not know this, but your community is depending on you to help develop it, development is accelerated to a very high extent when you have the right people in power. You cannot have the right people in power when you allow money politics flourish in your area.
There are other big deals in 2019, it's just that the general elections is the one on point right now! Tomorrow, insha Allah, we shall be looking into the importance and the roles of the youths in ensuring a hitch free election period.

Today is the D - day for everyone called Nigerian. Congratulations Naija! This is the time to look back and reflect and most importantly show gratitude to the God of Nigeria that has kept us together. Despite the several evil prophesies made on Nigeria,we continue to wax stronger and greater as a nation.This is definitely a day we need to say thank Lord!
I don't know about you,but as for me, instead of talking about the numerous negativity around us as Nigerians,I've decided to focus on the positive and whenever I'm to talk about about the negative sides,it's to proffer solutions not to worsen it!

What is Nigeria to YOU?
To me,Nigeria is everything! The air I breathe, the food I eat,the water I drink, my father,my mother my siblings...everything about me is Nigerian and I proud and grateful to be a full blown Nigerian!
Yes, Nigeria has got very little to offer as a nation,that's because we Nigerians have very little to offer ourselves. It's not much about the country but he people that are indigenes of the country.
America is great because of the activities of the great people of the country.

Nigeria is YOU and YOU are Nigeria!
The other time,Donald Trump referred to African Nations and some other countries from the Latin America 'shit-holes'. There was an outcry and anger all over...in fact some people took to the media to rebuke him.
In as much as I don't agree with him too,I couldn't resist to ask myself if it was as much as his (Trump) fault as it is that of the countries who seem to now live FULLY on what comes out of America! Even in Nigeria,the madness is there...you are not seen as anything much if you haven't, at least visited the UK or the US.
Instead of expending our energy and time fighting tooth and nail to make the infamous journey to the West,we should be doing that in making Nigeria,too, great and a tourist destination of the world,we've got all that it takes to do it!

Nigeria is All We've Got!
It's unfortunate that people keep on dumping their homes for the perceived 'Greener' pastures in the cold regions of the world! It's funny how lowly we think of our own country and how highly we elevate the Western countries.Trump called our countries 'shit-hole',instead of expressing anger and making him and Americans sorry by heading back home,what do I see on social media?
'Shit-hole' was popularized and was actually used by the 'shit-hole' people to refer to everything about their country as 'shit-hole'!This is how shamelessly some of us can stoop!
Whether we like it or not,Nigeria is all we've got,it is going to be great only we make it great by becoming great ourselves. It is called a 'shit-hole' because that is what WE the owners make of it! Every time you risk your life to make it to Europe through the Mediterranean, you are indirectly telling the world that Nigeria and Africa is still a 'shit-hole.
They MAY accept you as a loyal slave who'll labour day and night to make their country greater,but.they'll never accept you as equals and whenever you mess up,they are quick at showing you the way out.They'll send you back to the 'shit-hole where you belong. You remain a product of a 'shit-hole' this is why you eventually get buried in the 'shit-hole' country you left behind!
So,why don't we remember this,Nigeria is the only place we can lay claims to and would never be thrown out...the only place whose citizenship you can't be stripped of. Unless you are blaming God for making you a Nigerian,you should accept this simple truths and put up all you've got to make Nigeria great! God Bless Nigeria!
